In our first Style Talk post, we have a chat with aspiring Perth stylist Cree Bethany.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a 22 year old aspiring stylist. I've just finished my fashion studies at Edith Cowan University.
Who is your fashion icon?
I don't think I have one specific fashion icon, I get a lot of my own style inspirations from other stylists and style bloggers. But I suppose if I had to choose one person, Shay Mitchell is probably one of my go-tos for style inspo. She always looks so effortlessly chic, and I love how she mixes so many different elements together (Edgy and classy, casual and business).
How would you style a tee?
My favourite way to style basic t-shirts at the moment is pairing one with a distressed denim skirt, either tuck the shirt in or tie a knot at the front, some ankle booties or a platform sneaker of some kind, and then to finish off the look, add a cute cross body bag and some cool sunglasses.
If you could wear one think for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Hmm, this one's a hard one. I absolutely adore culottes at the moment, in any form, long pants, shorter pants, jumpsuits. But I also really just love a good basic tee. So probably one of those.
What's something you have reintroduced into your wardrobe?
I've got re-acquainted with denim jackets recently. Introduced myself to the over sized denim jacket craze that was going around, and I absolutely love it.
How do you get inspired?
Scouring Pinterest and reading other style blogs is definitely my favourite way to keep up with trends and get inspired.
